DEUTSCH, BERNARD SEYMOUR
(1884-1935)
American lawyer and communal leader. He was born in Baltimore. In 1933 he was elected president of the Board of Aldermen of New York. He was president of the American Jewish Congress and led campaigns with Stephen Samuel Wise to arouse public opinion on behalf of the rights of German Jews.
