BODY PHOTISM

   A term used to denote a type of *photism (i.e. a hallucinated patch of light) consisting of a light emanating from one's own body. Body pho-tism has occasionally been reported in association with * out-of-body experiences. It should not be confused with the parapsychological notion of the * luminous phenomenon.
