BENAMOZEGH, ELIJAH

(1822-1900)

   Italian rabbi and theologian. He was born in Livorno and served there as rabbi and professor of theology at the rabbinical school. In his writings he presented a systematic exposition of the doctrines of Judaism and defended the kabbalah.
